HP Releases self-extracting firmware update files for Linux as .scexe files. These files usually contain an installer and a bunch of XML controlls. A -h flag provides a couple options for running the installer, but sometimes you don’t want to run it, you want to get at the contents.<\/p>\n

.scexe files contain a hidden --unpack<\/code> flag that will unpack the contents to the directory of your choosing.<\/p>\n

For example:

\nSOMEFILE-PayLoad-version.version.version-1.zip
